Growing up in cotton

Oh my goodness, has it really been over a month since I last posted??!!  I have always heard that having children makes every day fly by faster and faster.  It seems to be so true at this time in life.  These girls are keeping me on my toes and every day seems to run into the next like a blur!  But I have managed to capture part of our moment in pictures and I wanted to share them with you.

Cotton is the main crop in this part of the country and every year I plan to get their pictures in it but fail to make it in time.  This year I didn't hesitate :-)

Beautiful Child

A golden moment pressed in stone
To bring such beauty into this home.

Change forever my life so cold
To give this treasure I can hold.

Sparkling eyes of innocent blue
Purest honest love so true.

Smiles that brighten the darkest day
Curious mind and hands at play.

Growing brightly strong at will
A beautiful child my heart you fill.

Nurture this mind, nurture this soul
Touched forever, my heart behold.

Openly protect her, tucked under wing
A flower she'll blossom, love she'll bring.

Guide her gently through night or day
In mind, in spirit, her love will stay.

This precious young woman, you have become
I know as a mother, my job is done.

I hope this long over due post finds you all doing well.  And I hope you have a wonderful week!

Job well done Mom, and Dad!
Your daughters are growing up to be beautiful young women. I'm certain that they are just a beautiful on the inside, as on the outside!
Love those cotton pictures!
Hope that this week is a great one for you.
We're having cloudy skies and news of snow in the mountains. Sigh. I guess we can't put off winter forever :)

Very nice poem. The cotton fields are beautiful and so are your daughters! Mommy's little angels!

Hope you have a good weekend!

Beautiful girls and beautiful pics! We are in cotton country too and some of my favorite pics of two of my kids were taken in cotton! I think I've waited too late this year, but wish I had gotten some of my youngest in the cotton!

Hope you have a great week! :)
